HOW TO USE DURING AN EVENT OR TRAINING SESSION

The serving size is intended to be used in the standard 20 ounce bottle.
Tear off the top of the packet and pour the powder into your empty bottle.
Partially fill the bottle with water, swirl to disperse the powder. Fill to the top
and screw the bottle top back on. The contents will mix in a few minutes.
Bags of ULTRA can be carried in pockets or a pack, or put in drop bags
along your route.
Drink 4 to 8 fluid ounces every 15 to 20 minutes during exercise. It is better
to drink small amounts frequently than a large amount only when you feel
thirsty. Drink regularly from the start of your event to avoid dehydration.
If you are using more than one bottle per session, you can pre-mix a volume
and draw from it when you reach your supply. Or, you can carry the powder
in sealed pouches or bottles to add to your drink bottle when you reach a
water source.
ULTRA does not contain any artificial preservatives. It should be consumed
within 24 hours or refrigerated. Mix only in clean containers. If you have
small portions of the mix left after an event, drink it to help your recovery.
Wash bottles thoroughly after use.
ULTRA contains sufficient amounts of electrolytes for a few hours of
exercise. When using ULTRA for more than a few hours, you should supply
sodium-containing foods or supplements. SUCCEED! Buffer/Electrolyte
Caps will provide the necessary electrolytes.
STORAGE / SHELF LIFE
ULTRA powder will keep for at least a year at room temperature. If storing
longer than that, refrigerate or freeze
MIXING ULTRA WITH COLA
Want more calories and some caffeine in your drink? The flavor of ULTRA mixes extremely well with
standard colas and similar drinks.
This combination will give you extra calories if you want them. Recent research shows that combining
glucose producing carbohydrates such as maltodextrin with fructose as normally found in colas leads
to improved absorption of carbohydrates and more energy input.
Caffeine elevates alertness and motivation, as has long been known by endurance athletes.
This combination can be especially effective in the later stages of an endurance event. Try it in
training and see if it works for you.
Mixing is easy. Add the ULTRA powder from a packet to a 20 ounce bottle, fill 1/3 to 1/2 full with your
favorite cola or caffeinated soda. Shake or swirl to disperse the powder in the liquid. Fill the
remainder of the bottle with water.
